1. Call to order - 7:05 PM: Present - Rebecca Bayerle, Claudine Bruning, Debbie Buter,

Marie-France Caddy, Marti Doktorchick, Nicole Goudy, Kendal Landry, Dawna-Lynn Ludwig,

Taryn Peters, Nuria Preito, Lacey Wilson

2. Welcome/Introductions: financials and other information from the AGM are available online

3. Approval of Minutes - LSC AGM September 2025 - Motion: Marie-France, Second: Kendal,

approved.

4. Approval of Agenda - Motion: Dawna-Lynn, Second: Marie-France, approved.

5. Financial Report: See financial statement on LSC website, Motion to accept: Dawna-Lynn,

Second: Marie-France, approved. Note: Ways and Means was outstanding this year. Ice goes

up every year, but the year-end report is fairly comparable to last year. [Question from the floor:

did we get a refund for the partner fee? Answer: It hasn’t been fully resolved yet.] One bill has

been submitted and hasn’t been paid yet. Saturday ice was paid for by Canskate. Coach fees

were fairly similar to last year in spite of mileage this year. Thank you to Kendal for completing

the bookkeeping review this year.

6. Program Information

a. PreCanSkate: will start after Thanksgiving this year. There will be two sessions (A and B)

with three options for which day of the week (Monday/Wednesday/Saturday).

b. CanSkate: will start after Thanksgiving this year. There will be two sessions (A and B)

with three options for which day of the week (Monday/Wednesday/Saturday).

c. PreStar: will run on the same schedule as the last year (Mondays and Wednesdays

starting in mid-September)

d. StarSkate:

i. Jr: levels 1-2 at Coach discretion. Pricing TBA, but will include ice time and

Group lessons on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Private lessons will be

available for an additional fee.

ii. Sr: StarSkate levels 3+. Skating days will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

(no two-day option). Friday ice time will be split between Jr. and Sr. groups.

e. Registration: www.skatelacombe.ca - if paying by e-transfer, put name/program in memo

line.

7. Volunteer Requirement: all StarSkate programs (pre/Jr/Sr) come with a 4-hour volunteer

requirement. Members of LSC Executive Committee exempt from this requirement.

8. Online Registration and Payment Procedure: Registration will open July 1. (see line 6.e.)

9. Communication: Information to be sent out via email with more immediate information

available on the What’sApp group.

10. Special Event Information

a. Skate-a-thon - November 2026 - usually the third weekend, date TBA

b. Carnival - March 2027 - usually the first Sunday, date TBA

11. Sponsorship: letters are available if you know of a business that might be interested. A

minimum $250 donation gets recognition.

14. AGM Attendance Credit Draw: Names were entered on an online wheel of names, and Marti
Doktorchik won the spin - she will receive a $100 credit against skating fees for the upcoming
season.
